STARTS 4/9: 4-Week Throwing Bigger with Juan - 10am to 12pm

Learn to take your vessels to another level in Juan's Throwing Big class! This class is designed for those 18+ with previous wheel throwing experience.

 

In 4 sessions, we'll review:

• Techniques to prep large amounts of clay for throwing
• Proper body mechanics for throwing larger pieces
• Trimming + glazing large forms

Registration for this course includes:

• 25lb bag of stoneware clay of your choice (additional clay available for purchase)
• Unlimited studio access during Business Hours throughout the course duration
• Use of community tools (toolkits and additional tools available for purchase)
• Glaze costs + firing fees for up to 3 pieces

 

In preparation for this class, please:

• Bring an apron or wear clothes that you don't mind staining  or getting dirty
• Ensure you wear short sleeves or sleeves that can easily tuck back and not get in the way
• Tie back long hair so that it does not get caught on clay or the wheel

 

Upon course completion:

• Finished pieces will be available for pick up during Business Hours 3-4 weeks from the last class and will be held for 2 weeks
  • You will receive an email from the Studio Manager when pieces are ready for pick up
• Abandoned works will be discarded or donated due to limited storage space
• Business Hours (April 2025 onward):
  • Thursday: 1 - 6pm
  • Friday - Monday: 10am - 6pm

 

All students must sign a Waiver / Code of Conduct Agreement before the start of class. 

Registration fees (minus service charges) are 100% refundable if registration is canceled 10 days ahead of class start date.

• For example, if class starts on the 15th, one must cancel no later than the 5th to receive 100% refund.

 

50% refund (minus service charges) if canceled 5 days ahead of class start date.

• For example, if class starts on the 15th, one must cancel no later than the 10th to receive 50% refund.

 

Non-refundable within 5 days of class, however, registration is transferable once to another person prior to class start date.

• For example, if class starts on the 15th and it's now the 12th and you can no longer attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. Please email the Studio Manager to coordinate.
