SUNDAY MORNINGS from 10:00am - 12:00pm
An overview of the glazing process, including steps leading up to the glaze firing (bisque process, test tiles, etc).
Glazing 101 with Carmen - 10:00am to 12:00pm (Multiple Dates Available)
This class is mandatory for beginner potters that have not taken a 4-week course at ACH. It's also open to all potters wanting to learn the basics of glazing or need a refresher on the process. In this 2-hour class, we'll discuss and review:
- The purpose of glazing + how it works
- Importance of properly bisqued pieces
- Test tiles + how to develop a testing process
- The purpose of resists + how to use them
- Glazing challenges + how to avoid issues during the glaze firing
- Glazing demo + practice
- Practice participation not mandatory, but to participate in the activity portion of class, please bring at least 1 bisqued pot (mid-fire clay only)
